My cell has an mp3 player and Im not sure hoe to get music on it. It came with the USB cord etc, but my question is…. Is there any site I can download music without downloading it to my computer?

No, but if there’s an option for connecting as a USB Mass Storage device you can put all your music into the cellphone’s Music or Sounds folder.

If your downloading free music then you might get sued for up to 750$ a song.Anybody know how to stop this?

I’ve always used uTorrent and have recently recieved an email from my internet carrier informing me that I’ve been caught for copyright infringement and to stop asap….soooo now i have no way to download music besides the overly expensive itunes…so in your opinion what’s the best and cheapest method of downloading music or where should I download music from? I’ve tried limewire and frostwire, but they both suck! Plus I’ve been told that they’re pretty dangerous and I don’t want to get any viruses. I use to use bittorrent for everything back in the day and that seemed to work really good. Is this an option? and if so what are the best bittorrent programs out there for downloading music?

with limewire you need to get it updated or your downloads will be slow.
it also depends on if you have enough uploaders just like bittorent.

specifically ones which do NOT make you pay a monthly/yearly fee? Ones that are free OR very inexpensive to sign UP to, and once you sign up to them, you can just start downloading music for, say a buck or two per album, or maybe 50 cents for a song or something? A $5/month fee might not be TOO bad. Its just, I know napster won’t give you the prices UNTIL you agree to register.

The safest way is to go to individual websites. Anytime you deal with websites with a lot of traffic you open yourself up to viruses, spyware, adware, etc. Here is a hip-hop/rap artist’s website with free downloads to get you started.

I have officially gotten rid of Limewire. The guys at the Apple Store kept hassling me to get rid of it. One of the Apple guys told me about something called "bitTorrent." He recommended it for downloading music.

Is it great for music? I kinda like the more underground style of tunes. He says its good for my MacBook. WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Bittorrent is an application which downloads files using torrents. I have not done research on this subject, but I use torrents.

From my understanding torrents gives an application like bittorrent or limewire address where to download files from. It is like Limewire, but you have to use torrents.

You can download torrents from websites like The Pirate Bay, and Demonoid ect… then open them with bittorrent.

You usually have to download full albums when you use torrents. So I sudgest you use limewire. And forget what people say about limewire and viruses.

You only get a virus by executing it, so from a file like an .exe. I have not come accross a virus in a mp3 file, but mp3 files can contain scripts which load up webpages. Not entirly sure about them containing viruses though…
