I have Limewire but they quality is hit or miss. I would like to look into Rhapsody or another website that offers unlimited downloads at a reasonable price but I need those songs to transfer over to my Itunes.

Not to offend the others answering but seriously they are bad answers. Trust me on this one. I have used Rhapsody, Napster, & Zune Marketplace And I have downloaded music from them and used them on my ipod. The suggestions people are giving are very risky.

Here is what you do:::: #1 Buy a subscription to one of those programs (my all time favorite is Rhapsody… much better than the other two).
#2 Buy a program called Tunebite. It will rerecord the songs you download (because they are DRM) and record them as whatever you want (in this case you want them as MP3)
#3 this step you dont have to do but is VERY helpful: Get Mediamonkey…. it can do anything Itunes can plus MUCH more & you can download scripts from the forum on their site (things like find and replace script so you can automatically replace anything in your entire collection all at once… another thing mediamoneky can do is that you can organize your music so they have the same structure as your folders you keep them in)…. Far better than anything itunes can do. And hey you can still have both programs if you want.

Just remember you need to get that other program to convert the music. BUt this is a good step…. the suggestions people were giving you requires you to download music illegally. What this allows is for you to do the downloading legally with like rhapsody but the converting is done in a way that no one sees.

I have previously used Limewire but want to start downloading music legally. Is there anything similar to Limewire that charges you a monthly fee and lets you download unlimited music?

Try www.easynews.About $7.00 per month for something like 40 or 50GB of downloads. It used to be good for music (it has everything including movies, TV, and porn! Lots of porn) but it has gone down a bit. But it has lots of modern music. You can cancel anytime.
