The more the music …
The more the music industry fights back against the digital age, the more they’ll lose. If they embrace it, on the other hand, they’ll almost assuredly survive.

Weather or not the …
Weather or not the court chooses to unconstitutionally sue in the name of capitalism the charges are simply unreasonable.
In my opinion a strict sentence would be the cost of the music as per song or album plus a big fine for other such petty fine. Say $500 or $1,000.
It seems our culture, law and people have grown so infatuated with the ridiculous way of things that they have lost both their sense of reason and sense of humor.

if record companies …
if record companies cant stay afloat because of illegal downloading, then record companies are outdated and should be done away with. There should be a shift to small time, independent record companies and mega-music corparations shouldnt exist. They only first began to exist in the 1950’s anyway. They had 50 years to turn profites, and now their days are numbered

“one of thousands” …
“one of thousands” !!!! Try one in millions. Practically no one even buys cd’s in america anymore. That’s why chains music stores like FYE are resorting to selling ALL album’s for a flat rate of $9.99. This news story is rediculous. There literally 10’s of millions of americans who are downloading digital media–movies and movies– “illegally”

Im a musician you have never heard of, Im not willing to sell my soul so I doubt you ever will but the internet opens up interesting debate about intellectual property . For indie musician like me it could be awsome but for the big music companies it poses a real problem about distribution and access for them a loss of revenue and me a gain if some how I could market it right. Anyone out there want to here some good music?

More ways for …
More ways for corporate officials to make allegations in order to force a legislation to strengthen their regulation on/of the internet.
Sorry to say, that the internet age has grown widely and now P2P sharing is there as an open source of transferring information. Of course it is ideal that the corporations find ways to get revenue streams from this kind of activity; like the use of ads or iTunes, etc. The public shouldn’t be selling downloadable songs for money, tho, but who I am to judge.
