How to Download Music into your PSP (Safest+Easiest Way) HQ

How to download music onto your Sony PSP Safest + Easiest Way.
Note: I’m not going to answer questions as much anymore, since it’s getting a lot of views. You can look at older pages of questions I answered before. And maybe one of them is one of your questions.
What you need:
a) PSP
b) Camera USB Cable 2.0
c) Computer (PC)
1) Get your Camera USB Cable’s Small end and plug it into the top of your PSP
2)Plug in the “Fat” end of your USB Cable into your Computer’s USB Port.
3)It should automaticly be in USB mode(Which means the computer reconizes your PSP is pluged in). If not, Go to settings, then press on USB Connection.
You can not do anything if its in USB mode.
3)A windo should pop up in a few seconds. Then double click on “View files Using Windows Explorers” or something like that.
4)Then the Explorer will reload and there is a folder named PSP. Doulble Click it.
5)There should be 5 folders. Make a new folder and name it MUSIC. Remember to type it in CAPITALS. Double click on your new folder. There should be nothing inside it.
6)Go to where you store all your music files. Then find a song you like, in this video I used “Shadow of the Day”.
7)Then open both folders and put it side be side.
8)Press and hold your song.
9)Drag and Drop your song into your MUSIC folder in your PSP.
10)Exit USB mode and check your Music in your PSP. THEN YOUR DONE! CONGRATS! YOUR FINISH DOWNLOADING YOUR SONG INTO YOUR PSP!!! Remember to press the SUBSRCIBE Button!
1.Q: The window didn’t pop up on my computer when I plugged in my PSP and went to USB connection, what do I do?
A: Go to My Computer, Removable Disk (A letter will be here), PSP, continue with the video
2.Q: Where do I download the songs form?
A: You can download them legally from places like iTunes and Amazon, but you would have to pay a dollar. (iTunes songs sometimes corrupt when downloaded to the psp)
You can get them for free from a website called limewire. But they may also have viruses.
3.Q: How do I fix Corrupted Music Files?
A:Generally this happens when your memory stick is corrupted; it is fixable though.
Put the psp into USB Mode and hook it up to the computer
Go to “My Computer” and right click on the properties menu.
Go to the tools tab and press “Check Now” under Error Checking. Make sure you also select to “Automatically fix fle system errors”
That should resolve any corrupted files and in the psp memory stick root, you should see a folder named along the lines of “Found.000″ which is a sign that the corrupted files are fixed.

*** Seekpod.com has been down for many months now. It is not coming back up. I haven’t used dTunes for just as long so I don’t know of any other sites to use. The new default beemp3 looks like it should work but I dont think the selection of music is as good (I haven’t really checked). I completely switched over to mewseek+pwnplayer myself, but even then I rarely download music.
I will not be answering anymore questions regarding this video, you do with it what you want. Just know that if you want to download music and don’t like dTunes that there are other options available.
Theme – Lastly, people keep asking me and I don’t want to reply individually… I made the theme myself from various other themes. Icons are from 4 or so different themes, the background and dock icons are from a theme called ‘blackout’ (there are two named that so check both), but I used photoshop to change the original hue from the background.

dTunes is a program released in Cydia which will allow you to search seeqpod.com and use the safari internet download plugin to download seeqpod’s streaming audio. (Search seeqpod.com to see the music that is available). Songs are downloaded as 192 kpbs mp3 files.
dTunes is its own media player as well so you will be able to play the music directly on your phone. However, if you want to sync the audio to your iPod you will have to access the file via SSH (the file is located in /var/mobile/Library/Downloads.)

Mewseek with Pwnplayer (the new iSlsk) is a good alternative to dTunes. It’s P2P so there is more music available (also all types of files, movies too). The download speeds will not be as good as dTunes, and there are queues (you can set 0 queue default searches), but the selection makes it worth it. You can also download full CD’s if you choose the download entire folder option. I find that Mewseek and dTunes go perfect together, as they both have good and bad things, plus you can use mobilefinder to move either app’s downloads to whichever player you choose, although not the default iPod player.
